   This feature has been available for windows mobile phones for -years- however it was limited in it actual usefulness because phone resolutions were so low. No you cannot play videos or sound from the computer your connecting to effectively. It’s more for accessing non av applications. Works great for administering servers or desktops while away from the office when doing server support via a VPN connection.

   Yes, you can use a multiplexer, but most likely what you are trying to display on the screen is too high a signal or resolution for them to handle and it will not work.
