The thing is, in this scene, the setting is perfect, as I’ve said before. A dark, narrow hallway, somewhat melancholic music, there’s a claustrophobic feeling to it. You actually FEEL this guy is struggling and fighting for his life. It feels authentic, If you’ve ever seen a real fight then you can see it’s very chaotic, just like in this scene, the rawness just adds to the realism and to the emotional response you get from watching it. Tony Jaa movies lack ALL of the above.
