I just purchased this monitor–moving from an older IBM 21 inch CRT monitor and WOW what a difference! Just reclaimed what seemed like 4 square feet of desk space and not to mention the power bill also improved by probably $50 a month! Honestly though–great picture out of the box. Maybe a bit too vivid if I was being picky but I believe most people will love the picture it produces without any adjustments. I decided to breakout my calibration disk that I used on my HDTV so I set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 and then tweaked the contrast, brightness, etc and once done it was fantastic! Blacks are very good for an LCD–but do not expect plasma levels. Very quick refresh rate–I was a bit worried that when I play games that I would see ghosting–Nope. None. When playing HD video on ITunes, it looked very good. I highly recommend the monitor to anyone. The price/value ratio is the best I could find.
After using a 20 inch imac for over 3 years it was time to upgrade. The screen on the 20 inch had become unevenly lit, and had seen it’s better days. I decided to upgrade to the new 24 inch imac decked out. After returning 3 yes 3 of them due to screen issues it was time to move on. I got a refund, and decided to purchase a mac pro so I could have control of the screen. I decided this monitor was the best for the money at the time. The first one I got had an obvious stuck pixel. It was green, and just about in the middle of the screen. Anymore I’m used to taking things back as now consumers are the quality control. A couple of button presses later I had another one on the way. I must say for an online retailer amazon has unbelievable customer service. The bad one was picked up at the same time the new one was delivered so I had no down time without a monitor. Thats very important when you just got a new computer that your dieing to get all set up!!! I never even had to talk to one person. Needless to say the replacement monitor was perfect! Maybe not quite as bright as the 24 inch imac, but it was too bright for extended use anyhow. The only problem I have with this monitor is when using a hdmi to dvi cable the monitor will not sleep with the computer. When using a dvi to dvi it sleeps perfectly. Not a big deal as I just turn it off when I leave. Probably saves more energy anyways. So to conclude I am very satisfied with this purchase from amazon.com! Thanks!
I did lots of research and comparisons before selecting the ASUS VW246H. Was very worried about getting bad pixels. I chose Amazon who has the best policy. Boy was the choice great! This monitor has no bad pixels and was perfect straight out of the box. Can’t say anything at all critical about it. Huge! Awesome color, clarity, contrast and detail. Can’t go wrong with this monitor or with Amazon. Free shipping to sweeten the deal.

Hi, Check in your graphics management for a setting called 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' (or something similar). This will ensure that your display does not stretch to widescreen unexpectedly.

I bought the ASUS VW246H for £185 brand new from a seller on ebay a few days ago, Ive played a lot of Call of duty modern warfare 2 and im very impressed with it, There is ZERO ghosting and the colours are really nice, The extra ports like HDMI are really great!
I spent a long time researching a good monitor for gaming and the Asus was best voted
( only for Gaming) Not the best all round 24incher on a budget! But the best for Gaming!
I havent used the Samsung but i was warned to stay away because they dont use there own Panels anymore and for that reason Dell have also stoped using them. If you get a genuine Samsung Panel there are great! BUT the only way to tell if its using a genuine samsung panel is from the serial number!

Eyefinity requires that 1 of the displays use the Display Port. You can have a combinations of (2) DVI or (1) DVI and (1) HDMI display, but the 3rd MUST use the display port. The only work around to this is buying a display port to DVI active converter. These run about $100+ from what I hear. I also don't know if this causes any lag in monitor response either.
Once you have 3 displays working, you just use the ATI drivers and turn on Eyefinity, which is basically just a single desktop spread across 3 displays. Eyefinity is just a marketing name.

Try backcombing the hair that goes over the top extensions a little to make it abit thicker then fix it so it covers the nets and spray with hair spray to keep in place.

Well theres two reason why i cant and wont, the price and response time, the response time may be better on an IPS, but id have to test it first, have you felt the response time on a CRT? its perfect, ive yet to feel that on any type of flat screen.

This problem is most likely your tv. i had a similar issue when i got my first flat screen. the aspect ratio, or really just the picture coming into most tv's made in the last several years, or since the widescreen era, have been in the 4:3 aspect. the tv remote may have a button to stretch the picture to fit the tv. it's designed for when you're watching tv programing that isn't in widescreen. check your tv manual to see if the pic can be re-fitted to fit the screen with the simple push of a remote button. what kind of tv is it? keep in mind that you may not be able just to crop off the sides of the picture – it may need to be stretched vertically to fit better. sorry if it has to go that way. lots of widescreen dvd's aren't in 16:9 aspect. they are in 20:12. which just means it's like super wide wide screen. i feel your pain. good luck!
